The Journey
1999
The International Center for Spiritual Renewal was launched and housed at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary.
2000
The Center was incorporated as an independent, not for profit, ministry.
2000-2002
The Center engaged in leading national Solemn Assemblies, relational leadership retreats, and local community projects while developing resources for local church renewal.
2003
Center founder, Dr. Fisher, accepted the responsibility to serve as visionary and executive officer for the 100 year celebration of the Azusa Street Revival.
2005
Billy Wilson became Executive Director of the Center and Executive Officer for the Centennial celebration following the sudden death of Dr. Fisher.
2006
The Azusa Street Centennial celebration, April 23-29, in Los Angeles, California.
2007
Voice of Salvation Ministries became the Center’s media ministry in a unique transferring of assets from the Church of God of Prophecy to the Center.
2008
Center media programs now seen or heard in over 165 nations.
The Awakening America Alliance formed to bring a united focus on renewal in the United States through ongoing communication and national events. The first year Cry Out America, 21 Days for a New Awakening, and the Leadership Summit.
In November, the Center and Oral Roberts University form the Commission on Holy Spirit Empowerment in the 21st Century. The Commission has led conversations with leaders, scholars and young people around the world focusing on the future of Charasmatics & Pentecostalism in the 21st Century.
2009
Empowered21 conversations take place globally with over 500 global leaders in 15 countries on 5 different continents.
